On May 30th 2018, Mr. Hans van der Kuil, Director of USE System Engineering, a member of the TKH Group and both based in Haaksbergen in the Netherlands, received the keys to their new Airport World Experience (AWE) site in Twente Airport from Mr Leo van der Ree, Director of the Technology Base.
The new facility, is an Experience and Training Centre and is located in Shelter B520.
The technology centre will enable USE System Engineering to demonstrate the robust and reliable AIRPORT of the future with their innovative CEDD® (Contactless Energy and Data Distribution) system for Airport’s AGL, Terminal and Tower applications and to facilitate site testing of new concepts, systems, equipment and components in a live airfield environment. (e.g. A-SMGCS)
The Airport World Experience Centre also includes dedicated training facilities for training courses to ICAO and EASA standards for all levels of Airport Engineering personnel from Design through to Installation & Maintenance engineering.
